Twenty One Pilots

December 1, 2015

Twenty One Pilots are the Ohio duo Tyler Joseph and Josh Dun who formed whilst at college and began to put out their own records before being signed by Pete Wentz' Fuled By Ramen label in 2013. Since the release of first studio album Vessel, TOP have been creating synthy, spoken-word, genre defying sounds and gaining an enormous, loyal fan base.

Dark Star Orchestra

December 5, 2015

The Grateful Dead have been resurrected in the form of Dark Star Orchestra. Formed in 1997, this tribute band came up with the novel idea of recreating complete sets from The Grateful Dead's gigantic list of concerts. They adapt their playing and sound depending on what era of Dead they're tackling on the night, and while they slavishly recreate the sound of the band down to the minutest detail, the band often embark on epic improvisations that would make their heroes proud.

Mac Miller

December 11, 2015

Mac Miler's major label debut Go:od AM drops on September 18, and he's heading out on an extensive nationwide tour in support. Known for his self-deprecating and irreverent style, Miller nevertheless delves into some deep material on his records, from musings on mortality to his past drug addictions.

Leon Bridges

December 12, 2015

The young Texan "Coming Home" singer is going on tour this summer in support of his debut album. The gospel and soul singer harks back to an older time, with a strong emphasis on 1960s rhythm and blues. He has gained national press attention for his work, with The Wall Street Journal describing him as a "throwback to '60s-soul a la Otis Redding and Sam Cooke". He also makes a point of performing in vintage clothing from the era, making his act a true throwback to nostalgic times.

Bullet for My Valentine

February 25, 2016

Welsh metal quartet Bullet for My Valentine first formed in 1998 but only found widespread fame when they released their first album in 2005, The Poison, which went onto be certified Gold in the USA. Taking their cues from '80s metal bands such as Metallica and rockers Nirvana, they made their mark on the punk-infused metal of the new millennium to make melodic, dark rock without discarding their metal roots. 2015 saw a change in their lineup with Jamie Mathias replacing Jay James as bassist, and the release of their fifth studio album, Venom.
